Woodland Selected To D3hoops.com All-Star Team

University of La Verne basketball standout Trevor Woodland has been selected as one of 10 Division III players on the second annual D3hoops.com All-Star Team. 

The group, which will be coached by Dee Vick of Hampden-Sydney College (Va.), was chosen by Sport Tours International (STI), from D3hoops.com All-Region nominees and other 2011-12 Division III men's basketball standouts.

The team will be in Europe from May 21-31 and is scheduled to visit and play against opponents in Paris, Amsterdam and Den Bosch, Netherlands.

Recognized as one of the nation's top shooters in Division III, Woodland averaged a league best 17.2 points per game for La Verne in 2011-12 while also averaging a SCIAC best 16.4 points per game in conference games.  In addition, scored 430 total points while connecting on 71 three-point field goals in his 25 games this season, an average of 2.8 treys per game.

The senior guard from Covina was a two-time All SCIAC selection.  He posted 20 or more points in eight games on the year, including four 20+ point games in conference play.  He registered his 1,000th career point on February 15 against Redlands and concluded his Leopard tenure with 1,049 points along with 190 three-point goals.
