The University of La Verne golf team claimed yet another first-place tournament finish by taking top honors at the Kingsmen Invitational hosted by Cal Lutheran University at La Purisima Country Club.
The Leopards won the 12-team tournament with a three-round total of 933 (318-306-309) and outdistanced second-place Redlands (947) by 14 strokes. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (962) placed third followed by host Cal Lutheran (981) and The Master's College (991) to round out the Top 5.
Three La Verne golfers earned Top 10 finishes on the individual leaderboard. Mitchell Fedorka led La Verne with a three-round total of 226 (78-72-76) to finish second overall. Eric Bunge placed fourth overall at 230 (78-74-78) with Rizal Amin carding a 237 (80-81-76).
Other Leopard competitors included Kevin Smith who tied for 15th at 245, along with Ryan Waring who finished 39th at 256.
