GOLF: Fedorka, Amin and Kramer Earn First Team All-America Honors
The trio of Mitch Fedorka, Rizal Amin and Andrew Kramer were selected to the Division III PING All-America team for the 2009 season, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Amin earns his third All-America selection after being named First Team All-America in 2007 and receiving Third Team All-America honors in 2008. This season he placed third overall at the NCAA Division III Championships in Port St. Lucie, Florida and was an All-West Region and First Team All-SCIAC selection.
Fedorka was arguably the nation's top golfer in Division III throughout the season, earning a #1 ranking in the Golfstat individual standings in addition to tying for the overall lead at the NCAA Division III Championships. Fedorka also earned All-West Region accolades in addition to being named SCIAC Player of the Year.
Kramer earns his first All-America honor after placing sixth overall at the NCAA Division III Championships. Kramer enjoyed consistent performances throughout the season en route to earning All-West Region and First Team All-SCIAC honors.
La Verne finished in the runner-up position at last week's NCAA Division III Championships (May 13-16) and was the only school to place three golfers among the Top 10 on the individual leaderboard.
