Golf Team Ranked Among Top 10 In National Polls

The University of La Verne golf team continues to be recognized on the national scene as it is currently ranked in the Top 10 in two national polls. 

The Leopards are ranked fourth nationally in the Golf World/Nike Golf Division III poll released on February 23.  La Verne is ranked sixth in the latest Golfstat.com Division III rankings, also released February 23. 

Despite a fourth place finish at last weekend's SCIAC #2 Tournament, the Leos have consistently maintained a Top 10 ranking through the fall season into the spring.

La Verne, which finished fifth at the 2010 NCAA Championships, kicked off its 2011 campaign by placing first in the SCIAC #1 Tournament held at Redlands Country Club on February 14.
