Leopards Compete At SCIAC Championships

The University of La Verne men’s cross country team competed at the SCIAC Championships Saturday morning at La Mirada Park.

Junior Jasper Chang placed the highest for La Verne, finishing in 22nd at 28:04.16 in the 8,000-meter run. Freshman Lance Powell and sophomore Quentin Haggard followed in 63rd and 64th with times of 30:59.37 and 31:07.13, respectively. Senior John Skelton earned 71st at 33:02.33.

Occidental College went on to take the team victory, accumulating 27 points and having four-of-seven runners place in the top-10.
