REDLANDS-The University of La Verne diving squad competed at the Bulldog Diving Invitational Saturday at Redlands University.
Senior Jacob Tittle and Sophomore Scott McKay represented the Leopards in a strong field that included Division I UC Santa Barbara, Division II UC San Diego and Cal Baptist and five of the top SCIAC schools.
The three-meter dive was won by Lester Wright of UC Santa Barbara with a score of 355.95 to kick off the competition. Tittl finished fifth with a score of 241.45 and Scott McKay came right behind in seventh with a score of 219.30.
Wright also won the one-meter dive with a score of 332.60. McKay scored 205.35 to finish sixth while Tittl finished ninth with a score of 187.45.
Next up for the Leo swimming and diving teams is a dual meet with Occidental College. The diving competition will be Dec. 6 at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center in Pasadena at 2 p.m. The swimmers will conclude the conference opener Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. at the La Verne Aquatic Center.
