Pat Widolff enters his 17th season as head coach of the ULV track and field program. During that time, Widolff has steadily elevated the track and field programs to top-flight status at the conference and level. In Widolff's tenure as head coach, ULV has crowned three national champions in three events and has captured three SCIAC Championships in women's track and field (1997, 2003, 2005). Widolff was named the West Region Coach of the Year in 1998. During this span, Leopard athletes have won numerous SCIAC individual titles. Widolff guided the men's team to the SCIAC Conference Co-Championship in 2001.
A graduate of Marian College, Widolff eventually earned two master's degrees from Xavier (OH) University and from Cal Poly Pomona. In addition to his coaching duties, Widolff is an associate professor in ULV's Movement and Sports Science Department. He resides in La Verne with wife Karen and son Matt.
