Logan Named AVCA Honorable Mention All-Region

Junior middle blocker Catie Logan was named Honorable Mention All-West Region for 2011 by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

Hailing from Beaverton, Oregon, Logan was a First Team All-SCIAC honoree this season.  She finished the season ranked fourth in the conference in hitting percentage (.304) while collecting 43 service aces for a league-best average of 0.45 per set.  She also led the Leopards in blocks with 79 and totaled 220 kills for the season.

Logan has been a three-time All-SCIAC selection, earning Second Team honors in 2009 prior to garnering First Team All-SCIAC accolades last season in 2010.

La Verne finished 17-12 overall and 7-7 in conference play this season.
