MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT: My most memorable moment was when I set a personal record in the 3200 my freshman year of high school at CIF Finals. At CIF prelims the week before, I had only run around 11:30 so I was extremely excited when I crossed the finish line and saw that I had run 11:12. It was almost surreal. I will never forget the sense of accomplishment I felt that day knowing that I had put my heart and soul into the race and left it all on the track.
MOST EMBARRASSING SPORTS MOMENT: My freshman year of high school, we were at a track meet and it was extremely windy. I remember my coach telling us prior to the meet how windy it was going to be, but I didn't think too much of it. I was literally blown completely off the track during the 2 mile. At the time, I didn't think it was very funny. Looking back at that moment, I can only imagine how ridiculous I looked and my coach will never let me live it down!
PERSON MOST INFLUENTIAL IN YOUR ATHLETIC SUCCESS: My high school cross country and track coach, Doug Soles, is the reason why I even began running in the first place. He has believed in me every step of the way and I honestly can't thank him enough for the opportunities he has created for me. Running opened so many new doors in my life and I am so thankful to have had the ability to work with Coach Soles for 4 years. He has taught me to believe in myself and to follow my dreams athletically and academically. I owe a lot of my success to Coach Soles, as well as my family and friends.
PRE-GAME RITUAL OR SUPERSTITION: I don't really have any pre-game rituals or superstitions other than carbo loading the night before the big race.
FAVORITE ATHLETE: My favorite athlete is Lance Armstrong.
FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM: I love watching soccer and my favorite teams are Chelsea and Manchester United.
