CLAREMONT, CA — Sara Bartelt scored lifetime bests in both the one-meter and three-meter dives at the 2019 SCIAC Diving Championships.
Bartelt opened day one of the SCIAC Championships with her best performance ever in the one-meter, earning a score of 289.60 to take 12th overall.
The La Verne native continued on day two with another lifetime best showing. The senior took 11th in the three-meter with a score of 304.10.
"Sara really stepped up her game diving with such confidence and consistency," said head coach Pat Skehan. "It was fun to watch her growth over the last few years. She got us off to a great start."
Emma van der Veen of Pomona-Pitzer took first in the one-meter and Megan Thai of Whittier won the three-meter dive.
