LA VERNE, CA — Peter Trinh has been named SCIAC Newcomer of the Year the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced today.

The freshman also picked up Second Team All-SCIAC honors after his stellar season. Trinh led the Leopards and ranked second in the conference with 63 goals and 78 points. He finished the year with 15 assists, 29 drawn exclusions, 12 steals, and 18 field blocks.

He had his single best scoring performance against Redlands where he scored eight times off just 13 shots. He also netted seven goals at home against Riverside City College in the Inland Empire Classic.

Trinh scored at least three goals in 11 contests and scored at least once in all but two games.
