THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - In their second match of the day, the La Verne volleyball squad delivered a spectacular performance that culminated in a decisive three-set victory over St. Thomas (Tex.) at the Gilbert Arena on the Cal Lutheran campus. With set scores of 25-17, 25-20, and 25-9, La Verne (8-0, 0-0 SCIAC) continued their unblemished season.
 
The Leos left an indelible mark on the court, led by the indomitable Ayana Mier, who exhibited extraordinary mastery with 10 kills and zero errors for the second time today (.455.). Mya Ray's added 14 kills to the effort, while Lauren Gott displayed exceptional versatility, contributing 9 kills and delivering 5 aces. Malia Capistrano orchestrated the team's success with surgical precision, tallying 27 assists, while Madison Smith led the defense with 14 digs.
 
Next Game: The Leopards will play their last game of the tournament Saturday the 16th at 7pm against Texas Lutheran University.
