PASADENA, Calif. – The University of La Verne Men's Soccer team went on the road to face off against the Caltech Beavers.
 
The first goal of the match was early and went to the Leopards as 
Adan Villarreal found the back of the net at the 3:47 mark, assisted by 
Maximilian De Anda. Villarreal's goal marked his eighth of the season. Caltech responded with a PK equalizer when Ishaan Mantripragada of the Beavers converted a penalty shot at 18:30 to level the score.
 
La Verne continued to battle through the second half. Despite conceding goals to Caltech's Etienne Casanova (65:42) and Mantripragada (87:49), the Leopards again found the back of the net in the 83rd minute. 
Kimson Martinez's goal, assisted by 
Ruben Gonzalez, showed the team's commitment and resilience.
 
The Leopards' 10 shots, 7 of which were on target, tested the Caltech goalkeeper on multiple occasions, while 
Hector Duenas-Peña had 7 saves for La Verne.
 
Next Game: The Leopards will host Chapman University on Wednesday September 23rd at 7 P.M. at Ortmayer Stadium.
