SCIAC OFFICE - Junior striker Adan Villarreal was selected as Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week by the SCIAC office.

Villarreal bagged four goals, including the game winner in both season-opening victories for the University of La Verne, which flew 2,000 miles to Wisconsin where the Leopards notched a 4-2 win over Saint John's (Minn.) University and a 2-1 scoreline against Lakeland University. A transfer from Rio Hondo College where he scored eight goals and assisted two in 2022, Villarreal began his SCIAC career with a hat trick that included two scores off corner kicks and one on a counter attack.
