SCIAC OFFICE - Sophomore hitter Mya Ray was selected as Volleyball Athlete of the Week by the SCIAC office.

Ray paced the University of La Verne on a perfect 3-0 opening weekend at the Pacific Coast Classic that included victories over Southwestern (Texas) University, Carthage College and St. Catherine University. She recorded a .306 hitting percentage on 38 kills with just eight errors while adding 20 digs, 4.0 blocks, two assists and a service ace.
