CLAREMONT, CA — The University of La Verne women's water polo team celebrated senior day with a pair of games on Saturday afternoon.
Cal Lutheran 16, La Verne 6
Reiley Burton led the Leopards with three goals, Olivia Taylor netted two, and Sumi Rudisky scored once.
Kelly Jackson finished with three saves.
The Leopards stayed close with the Regals in the first half and entered the break down 6-4 after Burton scored with less than a minute left in the period.
But Cal Lutheran rolled in the second half to come away with the win.
Concordia University Irvine 16, La Verne 6
Maddie Grove scored twice, Reagan Barrera, Reiley Burton, Sumi Rudisky, and Olivia Taylor all scored once in the Leopards' final game of the day.
Katrina Hitchcock finished with five saves and an assist. Aliya Martinez finished with five saves, and Kelly Jackson grabbed one.
Season Impact
The Leopards move to 6-15 and 5-5 in the SCIAC. They moved to fifth place in the conference, a half-game back of the Regals. La Verne is still in contention to finish in the top four and make the SCIAC Postseason Tournament.

The Leopards celebrated seniors Sumi Rudisky and Olivia Taylor in a pregame ceremony.
