WHITTIER, CA- The University of La Verne men's soccer team continued SCIAC play against the Whittier College Poets on Wednesday night, falling to the Poets 2-1.
Forward Kevin Arreola scored the Leopards lone goal of the night in the 70th minute of play, taking advantage of a wide open net and shooting the ball through with his left foot for his second goal of the season.
La Verne combined for nine total shots, with four on goal, including two from midfielder Aidan Olufson.
Goalkeeper and two-time SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week Hector Duenas-Pena picked up another four saves, putting him at 37 on the season.
