LA VERNE, CA — For the second time this season, University of La Verne junior outside hitter Mya Ray has been named the AVCA Division III National Player of the Week, following another dominant performance that fueled the No. 1 Leopards to three more victories. 

Ray was unstoppable across the Leopards' undefeated stretch, totaling 56 kills, 32 digs, seven blocks, and three aces in wins over Whittier, Pomona-Pitzer, and No. 19 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. She tallied 18 kills apiece against Whittier and Pomona-Pitzer before exploding for 20 kills in La Verne's statement sweep of CMS in a top-20 showdown.

Her all-around play continues to anchor the Leopards' high-powered offense and unmatched defensive intensity. With her second national weekly honor of the year, Ray cements her place among the most dominant players in Division III volleyball this season.
