Mya Ray has been named the AVCA Division III National Player of the Week, following another dominant performance that fueled the No. 1 Leopards to three more victories.
Ray was unstoppable across the Leopards' undefeated stretch, totaling 56 kills, 32 digs, seven blocks, and three aces in wins over Whittier, Pomona-Pitzer, and No. 19 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. She tallied 18 kills apiece against Whittier and Pomona-Pitzer before exploding for 20 kills in La Verne's statement sweep of CMS in a top-20 showdown.
Her all-around play continues to anchor the Leopards' high-powered offense and unmatched defensive intensity. With her second national weekly honor of the year, Ray cements her place among the most dominant players in Division III volleyball this season.
