LA VERNE, CA — Keilani Mumolo has been named the SCIAC Volleyball Defensive Athlete of Week the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Monday.

Mumolo was the defensive anchor for the No. 1 Leopards in a perfect 3-0 week. At No. 17 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, she totaled 10 digs and added two aces in the sweep. In a home win over Cal Lutheran, she tallied a team-high 24 crucial digs in the five-set match with one ace. She ended the week with five digs and a kill at Caltech.

It is the fourth time the Leopards have earned SCIAC Volleyball Athlete of the Week honors. Senior Mya Ray has won the award three times this season.

The Leopards return to action on Friday, October 10 at 7 p.m. against Redlands in The Tents.
