GENEVA, OHIO - Zachary Reid closed out an outstanding collegiate career with a 15th-place finish in the 110m high hurdles at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday. Entering the meet ranked 15th, Reid matched his seed and left everything on the track in his final race for the Leopards.
Though disappointed with the result, the graduate student departs the program as one of the most decorated hurdlers in University of La Verne history.
Reid is a three-time SCIAC Champion, five-time SCIAC Medalist, four-time NCAA Championships qualifier, and seven-time USTFCCCA All-Region honoree. At the 2024 SCIAC Championships, he etched his name in the record books by running a blistering 14.31 in the 110m hurdles, breaking both the ULV program record and the SCIAC all-time record, which had stood since 1976.
Beyond the track, Reid has excelled in the classroom. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Science and will walk the stage next week with his Master of Business Administration, graduating with departmental honors.
