LA VERNE, CA - The University of La Verne women's volleyball team has climbed to the top of the national rankings, earning the No. 1 spot in the latest AVCA/TARAFLEX Division III Coaches Poll. It is the program's first time being ranked No. 1 since the 2002 preseason poll, which came a year after the Leopards captured the NCAA Division III National Championship.
The Leopards' rise comes after a flawless non-conference start that featured victories over nationally ranked opponents at the UW–Oshkosh Invitational. La Verne's 9–0 record includes wins over No. 3 Wisconsin-Oshkosh, No. 18 Hope College, and the University of Chicago, solidifying their place among the nation's elite.
