LA VERNE, CA – The University of La Verne men's soccer team continued SCIAC play on Wednesday night against the University of Redlands, falling 2-1 to the Bulldogs.
The Leopards finally broke through in the 82nd minute, off a quick throw-in from Kevin Arreola. He connected with midfielder Alexander Bastidas who dished a pass pass to a wide-open Aiden Tapia-Palacios outside the top of the box. Tapia-Palacios put the Leopards on the board with his first goal of the 2025 season, off a hard right-footed shot to the top right corner of the the net. The Leopards finished with 10 total shots, five of which were on goal.
Redlands took a 1-0 lead into half time off a goal from Zachary Darmanyan and doubled their lead in the 69th minute with a goal from Connor Claborn.
Hector Duenas-Pena finished with three saves to bring his total on the season to 31, second most in the SCIAC.
