LA VERNE, CA — Hector Duenas-Pena has been tabbed the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Confernce Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week the SCIAC announced Monday.

Duenas-Pena was untouchable in the Leopards' 2-0 win over Park-Gilbert. The keeper turned away 15 shots and recorded 11 saves to keep his slate clean. Earlier in the week, He recorded two saves to preserve a 0-0 tie against Willamette. Duenas-Pena has been perfect on the season, recording 16 saves with zero goals allowed.

The Leopards open SCIAC play at home against Chapman on Wednesday, September 10 at 7 p.m.
