SAN ANTONIO -– The University of La Verne men's soccer team took on the No. 2 ranked Trinity University in a physical 1-1 draw Friday evening. The Leopards keep their undefeated record intact, moving to 2-0-2.
The Leopards scored the equalizer just over seven minutes into the second half when Diego Soto knocked in his third goal of the season on an assist by Alexander Bastidas.
The game was physical with a total of 27 fouls between both teams and six cards were given.
Joshua Simonton held it down in goal for the Leopards. He only allowed one goal on 17 shots and racked up 11 saves.
The Leopards continue their road trip in Texas with a game against Southwestern University on Sunday, September 13 at 5 p.m.
