MWP Takes Down Mounties on the Road

WALNUT, CA — Josh Lamberton gave the Leopards the lead midway through the first quarter, and the University of La Verne men's water polo team took down Mt. San Antonio College, 15-11, on the road Tuesday evening.

Lamberton, who made his season debut, led the Leopards with four goals. Xavier Turla added three goals, two assists, and one steal.

Nicolo Buono distributed for the Leopards, leading with four assists to go with one goal. Jordan Baker and Timothy Robles each scored twice.

Heny De Luna led in the cage, grabbing 11 saves. Peyton O'Steen added two saves. 

Ethan Estephan finished with one goal and one assist.

Season Impact

La Verne improves to 3-2 overall.

Next Game

The Leopards have a several-week layoff before they return to action on Saturday, September 26 at Chapman for their SCIAC opener.
