Ed Lowrie joined the University of La Verne in August 2026 as the Cross Country Assistant Coach.
Lowrie brings 13 years of coaching experience to the team, ranging from youth club to the collegiate level.Â
Lowrie began his journey with the Southern California Roadrunners in 2008, where he provided national class training opportunities for San Gabriel and Pomona Valley youth. With the Roadrunners, he coached numerous athletes to USATF youth titles and team podium finishes until he left in 2013.
Lowrie later joined Claremont High School from 2015 to 2018, where he and Coach Rob Lander led the team to claim the 2017 California High School Girls Division 2 State Championship.
Before joining the Leopards, he was the Chaffey College Assistant Coach for the Women’s Cross Country team from 2023 to 2025.
