University of La Verne

Anton Russell  brings a rich blend of playing and coaching experience to the University of La Verne soccer program. A former standout player who started 73 of his career 75 games with the Leopards. He earned three All-SCIAC selections over a four-year career, including first team selections in 2016 and 2017, and a was United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Team honoree. 

Russell has transitioned seamlessly into coaching now in his role as an assistant coach. He joins Head Coach Trevor Persson for his 11th season, contributing expertise and leadership to continue the program’s tradition of excellence.
