  • Go to pump up song is: “I like to wear my headphones and have silence. This is because I’m trying to calm down and not think too hard about what I’m about to swim. I also like songs that you’d listen to at camp like the Cupid shuffle. This is because it’s super light hearted and you can just have fun when dancing or listening to that type of music.”

  • Favorite inspirational quote: “Okay, here we go. Focus. Speed. I am speed” -Lightning McQueen

  • Biggest personal athletic thrill so far: “Going from almost qualifying for the CCCAA in the 400 IM my freshman year to then qualifying for it my sophomore year, and dropping five seconds off my best time.”

  • #1 reason to compete: “To push myself, when it comes to swimming mid-distances you have to learn to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. Once you’re able to do relay, being able to see what you’re capable of is always exciting!”

  • Fun fact: “My favorite animal is an orangutan because they’re so smart and gentle.”
