Anthony Garcia joined the University of La Verne football program in 2025 as an assistant linebackers coach. A recent graduate of Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, Garcia brings valuable leadership experience as a collegiate student-athlete and a strong passion for mentoring and developing young athletes.
A native of La Habra, California, Garcia was a four-year starter at linebacker for Knox College, where he competed in the NCAA Division III Midwest Conference. During his time with the Prairie Fire, he demonstrated consistency, toughness, and leadership on the field.
Before his collegiate career, Garcia attended Sonora High School, where he excelled as a defensive standout. As a senior, he was named team captain, led the Freeway League with over 112 tackles, and earned First Team All-League honors.
Garcia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Knox College, with a minor in the Psychology of Coaching. His academic background and playing experience fuel his commitment to helping student-athletes grow both on and off the field.
