Anthony Penalber, '16, '18 returned the University of La Verne as a Strength & Conditioning Coach in March 2025.
Penabler joined the Leopards after serving at the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Redlands.
Previously, Penalber worked at Keiser University in Florida where he was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. At Keiser he evaluated athletes’ performance and designed training programs that were sport specific.Â
From August 2018 to June 2021, Penalber was an Adjunct Professor of Kinesiology and an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Chaffey College. While at Chaffey he ran the strength and conditioning for men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women's cross country, and assisted with their football program. He instructed Body Conditioning, Cardio Fitness for Life, and online courses.
Penalber’s first opportunity as a strength and conditioning coach came as a graduate assistant at La Verne from June 2016 through June 2018 where he graduated with his Master of Science in Leadership and Management. He managed warm-ups for 11 sports, assisted in mobility/flexibility programs, and created curriculum for interns.
As an undergraduate at ULV, Penalber played two seasons of football for the Leopards and was named a team captain, team defensive MVP, and earned All-SCIAC accolades. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Health and Human Performance in 2016.
Prior to La Verne he played two seasons of football at Chaffey.
