Christian Magdaleno joined the Sports Information Department as a Graduate Assistant in Fall 2026.

Magdaleno, a local resident from Baldwin Park, graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in Spring 2025 with a Bachelor's of Science in Communication, with an emphasis in Multimedia Journalism. While attending CPP, he worked as a student marketing photographer and worked his way from staff photographer to sports editor in the university publication, The Poly Post. During this time, he earned recognition for his photography from the Society of Professional Journalists, California Journalism Awards, California College Media Awards, and various internal publication awards.

He returned to the CPP Athletic Department as a photographer in Spring 2026, documenting student-athletes and staff accomplishments. He hopes to continue these efforts for the Leopard community working in his grad assistantship. 

In his personal life, Magdaleno has a passion for digital marketing and photography, but enjoys learning new skills. He hopes to continue working in athletic communications.

When he's not working, Magdaleno enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling and going to Dodger games. 

Magdaleno is pursuing a Master's in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing.
