Tristan Eames joined the University of La Verne football staff in 2025 and currently serves as the Wide Receivers Coach. He brings a diverse coaching background shaped by experience across multiple offensive positions and collegiate programs. Prior to La Verne, Eames made a strong impact at Waldorf University (IA), where he coached both running backs and quarterbacks over a two-year span. As Running Backs Coach, he helped lead an offense that averaged 243 rushing yards per game and coached standout back Jatoviay Hill to First Team All-Conference honors. Hill also set the school’s all-time rushing record with 2,008 career yards. In the 2023–24 season, Eames’ unit ranked second in the conference with 190.5 rushing yards per game.

In spring 2025, Eames transitioned into the Quarterbacks Coach and Camp Coordinator role at Waldorf, where he managed the quarterback room, helped install a new offensive playbook, and oversaw both prospect and high school camps. A former collegiate quarterback himself, Eames played at Ottawa University Arizona—winning a Sooner Athletic Conference Championship—and previously earned Second Team All-Conference recognition at West Hills College (CA).

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management from Waldorf University and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from West Hills College. A native of California, Eames starred at Yosemite High School, where he was a three-year varsity starter at quarterback, a two-time All-Conference selection, team MVP, and totaled over 3,500 all-purpose yards and 63 touchdowns during his prep career.

Coach Eames is known for his high energy, adaptability, and ability to develop student-athletes of strong character both on and off the field. He brings a player’s perspective, technical expertise, and a passion for building competitive, resilience.
