THOUSAND OAKS, CA — The University of La Verne women's soccer team traveled to Thousand Oaks to take on the second-place California Lutheran Regals.
The Leopards helped a 1-0 lead late but the Regals scored an equalizer in the 87th minute and then scored the game-winner with just over a minute to play.
Junior defender
Jessa Caropino La Verne scored the opening goal of the game in the 38th minute on an assist from
Kayla Allen.Â
The Leopards upped their attack in the second half taking seven shots but couldn't find the the back of the net again.
Abigail Macedo had a great defensive effort with six saves in the game.
The Leopards will celebrate Senior Day when they host the Whittier College Poets, Wednesday October 25th at 7 P.M.
