REDLANDS, CA — The No. 21 University of La Verne's volleyball team traveled to take on the University of Redlands and recorded their fifth-straight win. The Leopards swept the Bulldogs 3-0 for their fourth sweep during the stretch.
The Leopards dominated the Bulldogs, never allowing them to score over 20 points in a set. La Verne cleaned up early errors nicely to earn their 11th conference win and improved to 11-2 in the SCIAC and 20-2 overall.
Malia Capistrano led La Verne with a game-high 26 assists in the win climbing to second among conference leaders and adding 13 digs. Ayana Mier excelled at the net for La Verne with four blocks and six kills in the match.
Mya Ray led La Verne offensively with 14 kills with a hitting .387 percentage. Lauren Gott finished with eight kills, one ace, and two blocks. Madison Smith totaled a team-high 14 digs.
The Leopards will host Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday, October 28th at 4 P.M.
