LA VERNE, Calif. -The La Verne women's soccer team faced off against the formidable #18 Cal Lutheran squad at Ortmayer Stadium Saturday, testing their mettle against an undefeated and Nationally ranked opponent.

In a fiercely contested match, Cal Lutheran took the lead early at 04:54, with Caitlyn Winter scoring a crucial goal, assisted by Ashley Escamilla.
Despite the Leopards' best efforts and two key missed calls by the officials including a hand ball at the top of the box that should have been an automatic PK, La Verne was unable to breach the Cal Lutheran defense, and the final whistle gave the Regals a 1-0 victory.
