La Verne Lose by 1 in Heart-Pounding Duel

LA VERNE, Calif. - The Las Flores Pool witnessed an intense water polo clash as the La Verne Leopards squared off against Concordia University to conclude the ULV mini tournament. The match, hosted at Las Flores Pool, delivered a nail-biting contest from start to finish.
 
In the first half, La Verne's offensive charge was led by standout player Jordan Baker who secured 2 pivotal goals. On the defensive front, goalie Eric Bates made stellar stops, keeping the Leopards in the game. As the first half came to a close, La Verne found themselves trailing by only one: 7-8.
 
The second half continued to showcase La Verne's offensive skill with Peter Trinh delivering an astonishing 8 goals, including the game-tying goal with a mere 0:07 seconds remaining. Jordan Baker, adding 4 goals, displayed exceptional scoring ability. Despite their relentless efforts, La Verne narrowly missed victory, with a final score of 17-18.
