ORANGE, Calif. - The University of La Verne's soccer team traveled to the city of Orange to face Chapman University, an opponent battling for a top four position closely behind La Verne. The goalless draw to end the match highlighted the Leoaprd players' defensive commitment to their sport.
 
Abigail Macedo, the goalkeeper for La Verne, was a great performer and the cornerstone of their defensive plan. Throughout the game, Macedo made a remarkable total of 11 stops, preventing Chapman from scoring. Together, Kayla Allen, Jessa Caropino, Maren Handel, Miranda McGarry, and Shelbie Mueller held Chapman to only 16 shots, with 11 of those attempts being saved by their keeper.
