ORANGE, Calif. - The University of La Verne's women's volleyball team extended their undefeated record after traveling to the city of Orange to take on the Chapman University Panthers. Now 13-0, the Leopards continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the SCIAC conference.
La Verne triumphed in the opening set with a score of 25–23. They had a strong 0.204 hitting %, notched 17 kills, and displayed outstanding teamwork. La Verne maintained their momentum in the second set and won without difficulty, 25-14. La Verne won the match with a score of 25-20 in the last set.
Mya Ray showed off her all-around abilities with 17 kills and 13 digs. Lauren Gott added 16 kills to the team's total, and Ayana Mier chipped in with six kills and three crucial blocks. Kiley McGarry wowed with four aces, while Malia Capistrano demonstrated the versatility of her game with two aces, 36 assists, as well as solid defensive contributions.
