LA VERNE, CA — Mya Ray and Zacky Coaston have been named SCIAC Volleyball Athletes of the Week the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Monday after leading the No. 15 Leopards to three wins.

It is Ray's third SCIAC Athlete of the Week selection this season and Coaston's second honor.

Ray was tabbed the SCIAC Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week after finishing with 39 kills on .298 hitting with nine blocks, eight aces, 32 digs, and two assists. She posted 18 kills, six blocks, three aces, and 11 digs in a four-set win over No. 11 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. She added 15 kills in a sweep over Redlands. Ray is tied for first in the SCIAC with 231 kills and 3.85 kills per set.

Coaston picked up the SCIAC Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week award for totaling 21 blocks and hitting .378 with 20 kills. She led the Leopards with nine blocks and nine kills against CMS. Coaston leads the SCIAC with 79 total kills.
