LA VERNE, CA — The University of La Verne Women's Basketball team faced a competitive SCIAC conference matchup against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) at home, ultimately falling 67-58 in the Tents.

Despite the loss, the Leopards showcased standout individual performances. Christen Ziska led the team with 18 points, while Jasmine Prajitno added 13. Sophomore Alyssa Smith delivered an impressive double-double with 11 points, five assists, and a career-high 22 rebounds. La Verne displayed resilience, scoring 23 second-chance points, but struggled offensively, shooting 29.9% from the field.

CMS maintained control with a balanced offense, led by Renee Chong's 28 points and a strong team defensive effort, converting 20 points off Leopard turnovers.

The Leopards (2-7, 0-3 SCIAC) will aim to regroup in their next game against Whitworth College on Monday, December 16, at 3 PM in La Verne.
