The squads have not faced off since September 17, 2022, when the Eagles swept La Verne 3-0. That game started Juniata's current 94-game win streak.
Three-time All-American and two-time first-team selection Mya Ray will lead the Leopards. She'll be joined by All-American honorable mention Allison Whiteman and 2023 All-American Malia Capistrano.
Ray is coming off a hot opening three rounds of the NCAA Tournament, after which she was named the Massachusetts Regional Most Outstanding Player. Lauren Gott and Capistrano were also named to the Massachusetts Regional All-Tournament team.
The Eagles counter with two-time AVCA NCAA Division III Player of the Year Olivia Foley and the 2024 AVCA NCAA Division III Coach of the Year Heather Pavlik. First Team All-Americans Kennedy Christy, Mackenzie Coley, Kiona Sky, and All-American honorable Mentions Audrey Muth and Lily Podolan bolster a stacked Eagles roster.
The Leopards are playing their best volleyball of the season. La Verne has dropped just one set in its last nine games and has recorded sweeps in 10 of its previous 12 games. The Eagles have lost three sets all season.
The only common opponent between the two squads is Colby College who Juniata swept during the regular season and La Verne beat 3-1 in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.
