LA VERNE, CA — University of La Verne women's soccer standout Abigail Macedo has been recognized for her exceptional play during the 2024 season, earning a spot on the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team.

Macedo, a senior defender, was a crucial part of the Leopards' defense, starting 19 matches and logging over 1,700 minutes of play. Known for her leadership and defensive abilities, she helped anchor a backline that recorded a total of 69 saves on the season.

Her ability to break up opposition attacks, win key tackles, and provide stability in La Verne's defensive third was a cornerstone of the team's performance in 2024. This All-Region honor marks a significant achievement in Macedo's career, further cementing her reputation as one of the region's top defenders.
