LA VERNE, CA — Four Leopards finished with double-digit scoring, but it wasn't enough as the University of La Verne men's basketball team fell to the University Redlands 94-82 Saturday evening.
Paul Antonis nearly notched a double-double, finishing with 14 points and eight rebounds. Antonis dished out four assists and three blocks.
Saafir Moore went 4-4 from distance, totaling 16 points, a season-high for the senior. Darien Guyton scored the team-high Saturday evening. He went 6-8 from the field, including three three-pointers for 18 points.
La Verne's facilitator, Logan Howard, set a season-high six assists alongside 16 points in his 31 minutes of action.
La Verne attempted to overcome a 15-point halftime deficit and outscored the Bulldogs 51-47 in the second half, but it wasn't enough to come away with a win.
The Leopards fall to 6-15 overall and 3-10 in SCIAC play. La Verne will face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps colleges in Claremont on February 14th at 7 p.m.
