Box Score THOUSAND OAKS, CA - The University of La Verne women's soccer team had some chances on the road but couldn't convert in a 1-0 loss to Cal Lutheran in the 2024 SCIAC opener.

La Verne stayed on the attack with ten shots, seven on goal. Serenity De La Torre led the way with four shots, three of them on target in the first 21 minutes of the match.

Abigail Macedo finished with two saves.

Jenna Kasarda came off the bench for Cal Lutheran to score the only goal in the game thanks to an assist from Ashley Escamilla in the 68th minute.

The Leopards moved to 3-3-2 overall and 0-2 in the SCIAC.

La Verne returns home for more SCIAC conference games against the Whitter Poets on September 25, 7 p.m.
