LA VERNE, CA — The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Monday that Brianna Zapata has been named the SCIAC Women's Water Polo Offensive Athlete of the Week.

Zapata made a statement in the Leopards' season opener, scoring five goals, adding three steals, and dishing out an assist in a 21-9 win over Redlands. 

She added two more goals and a steal against NCAA Division I Cal Baptist.

The Leopards play their home opener this Friday when they host Biola at 4 p.m.
