PASADENA, CA — The University of La Verne men's soccer team picked up their third SCIAC win of the season, defeating the Caltech Beavers 3-2 in Pasadena on Saturday morning.
Midfielder
Aidan Olufson put the Leopards on the board first after receiving a perfect pass from
Uli Sevilla and firing a left-footed shot past Caltech's goalkeeper.
The Beavers briefly took the lead in the first half with two goals, but defender
Joshua McCown evened the score when he snuck the ball into the net after midfielder
Juan Manzano set him up with a perfect corner kick to go into halftime tied at 2-2.
The Leopards regained control in the 54th minute when Olufson returned the favor, assisting Sevilla with the go-ahead goal that secured the Leopards' win.

With the win, La Verne improves to 5-5-3 overall and 3-3-1 in SCIAC play. The Leopards will return to action this Wednesday, October 15th when they host the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens at Ortmayer Stadium at 7 PM.
