LOS ANGELES — The University of La Verne men's soccer team continued SCIAC play on Saturday afternoon, defeating Occidental College, 1-0. The matchup served as a rematch of last month's clash between the two rivals that ended in a 3-3 draw after Oxy scored in the final seconds.

Diego Soto netted the game-winning goal in the 52nd minute, firing a left-footed shot past the keeper to give the Leopards the lead. The score marked Soto's fourth of the season, solidifying his place as the team's offensive leader.

Hector Duenas-Pena tallied another eight saves, putting his season total at 55.
