CLAREMONT, CA — Ryleigh LaRue led the University of La Verne women's cross country team with an All-SCIAC performance at the 2025 SCIAC Championships.
LaRue took 17th place to earn Second Team All-SCIAC honors as the Leopards finished in eighth place. She finished with a time of 22:49, a 24-second personal record, and moved up to No. 5 on the ULV All-Time list.
"Ryleigh had easily our best individual performance of the season. She was incredibly brave and gutsy today, putting herself inside the top 20 right from the start on a tough course. She was incredible today," said Head Coach
Rob Lander.
Jocelyn Cruz took second for the Leopards with a time of 25:39, and
Chloe Chong crossed next at 26:31.
No. 4 runner
Kaliah Ramirez posted a 30 second season best with a time of 27:03. "Kaliah showed some real toughness today. I'm very proud of her," added Lander.
Freshman
Ximena Alvarado ran fifth for the Leopards at 27:45.
The Leopards will be back on the same course on Saturday, November 15, for the NCAA West Region Championships.
