Women's T&F Sets PRs at UCR

Santa Barbara | San Diego — The University of La Verne track and field teams continued their run of personal bests at the Westmont Jim Klein/Barbara Nwaba Combined Events and the UC Riverside Spring Break Track Classic.

Junior Hunter Bond led the way for the Leopards at Westmont setting a big personal best in the decathlon while adding four individual event personal records.

The Leopards squad took to the track on Saturday at UC Riverside. Reigning SCIAC Athlete of the Week Ryleigh LaRue made a big breakthrough in the 1500m, setting a new personal best time of 4:58.39.

Junior Dhruv Patel and David Ramirez led La Verne in the sprints with PRs in the 100m and 200m. Patel ran new bests in the 200m and 100m.

Next Meet

The Leopards return to conference action on Saturday, March 29 at the SCIAC Quad Cup No. 2 at Whittier College.
