Smith Named First Team All-SCIAC

LA VERNE, CA — Alyssa Smith has been named First Team All-SCIAC, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

Smith picks up All-SCIAC accolades for the second time in her career after earning second-team honors as a sophomore.

The junior put together her best year statistically. She averaged a double-double for the season with 17.1 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game. She finished the year with 12 double-doubles, placing her in the top 30 nationally.

In SCIAC action, she led the conference with 18.5 points per game, 278 total points, 168 total rebounds, and 122 defensive rebounds. She ranked in the top five in rebounds per game (11.2), three-pointers (27), and three-pointers per game (1.8),

She ranks third in La Verne history with 703 rebounds.
